Volunteer Spotlight

This issue, we would like to recognize Michelle Brown. She is a tireless volunteer, whom we count on for everything from Picture Day to Family Fun Day. If she isn't teaching Junior Achievement to one of three classes, she may be cleaning out the PTA closet!!

Here is a closer look at this wonderful volunteer: Michelle is a Florida native who grew up in Lantana. She has lived in Boca Raton with her husband Rick and three children since 2000. Rick is a Battalion Chief for the city of Fort Lauderdale. Michelle worked in a small family business in Delray for 10 years before becoming a stay at home mom to: Austin an 8th grader at Boca Middle (and AMES graduate), Logan a 3rd grader in Ms. Maier's class, and Emily a 1st grader in Ms. Walling's class.

Michelle feels truly blessed that her husband has been able to support the family, and she has been able to be active and volunteer with the school. Michelle also enjoys scrapbooking, crafting, and being a Daisy girls scout assistant leader with her daughter's troop. But she mostly enjoys spending time with her family and making a difference in her children's lives. Michelle and her family have forged many friendships with AMES families and look forward to building many more friendships in the future!
